Missile strikes in Pakistan will continue
WASHINGTON: The United States will continue to carry out missile strikes against al Qaeda militants in Pakistan, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said on Tuesday.Pakistani officials have complained publicly about the attacks from unmanned US aircraft in tribal areas, saying they are a violation of sovereignty and increase resentment towards both Pakistan's government and the United States.
Press has been quite quiet about that, let's say mute.
Is this a new risky pattern, one in which the new US president is so loved and praised by worldwide press that his 'continuities' with the past are conveniently erased from global agenda?
